Beaches
The sun spends winter at Kenton-on-Sea. If you have missed the summer, you will still have a rewarding outdoor experience during our winter, where the climate is mild and temperate. Kenton is on the warm Indian Ocean, where two rivers open up to the sea front of unspoilt beaches with undulating dune fields as well as interesting rock formations. A half hours drive from Kenton following the coastal road lies the little town of Alexandria. Here you can enjoy walking through magical forests where ancient yellowwoods and exotic Knysna Louries can be seen within the Addo Elephant National Park. Move onto the coast where stark sandy beaches transform into dramatic dune cliffs providing breathtaking scenery. If timed correctly Southern right Whales can be seen just off the shoreline, and dolphins are often spotted surfing the waves.
Sky diving
Experience the thrill and excitement of a Tandem Skydive in complete safety with an experienced tandem instructor from EC Skydivers. This thrilling experience takes place 10 000 feet above the ground. After a short briefing you will take to the skies with your instructor in a Cessna 206. A tandem jump is a great way to experience the ecstasy of skydiving while under close supervision. The weight limit for a guest taking part in the tandem is a 100kg.
Horseback Riding
On the shorelines of Kenton-on-Sea, enjoy a horse ride with Beach Combers. On the backs of well trained horses, guests will be taken through amazing woodlands and thicket vegetation, before galloping on the shorelines, or bounding through the sea break. It is an opportunity for guests to enjoy the peace and quiet of nature while being on horseback. The experience is made up of an hours drive from the reserve to Kenton-on-Sea followed by a 3 hour horse ride covering an array of beach habitats, and back to the reserve.
Golf courses
At the source of two rivers, the Bushmans and the New Years Rivers, guests can enjoy the par 71, eighteen hole Gary Player designed golf course, which is a resemblance of the earlier links courses of Scotland. The undulating fairways, severe bunkers, and bent grass greens makes the Bushman Sands Golf Course challenging yet friendly. Transfers to and from Bushman Sands can be prearranged, or one can self drive.
