The recent rainfall at Pumba Private Game Reserve has transformed the landscape in the most beautiful way, breathing fresh life back into the bush and reminding us of nature’s remarkable ability to renew itself. After weeks of dry earth and dusty game drives, the reserve has welcomed the rain with open arms — and the difference can be felt in every corner of the wilderness.
Young Eagles Tournament

The Pumba Foundation was proud to support the U15 Junior Soccer and Netball Tournament hosted at Seven Fountains on 27 June. The day brought together young athletes from Seven Fountains, Makhanda, Gqeberha and the surrounding communities, celebrating sport, teamwork and opportunity.
The soccer tournament featured seven teams competing in a round-robin format before progressing to the semi-finals and final. As proud supporters of Young Eagles, we were thrilled to witness an incredible underdog story. After suffering an 11–0 defeat to one of the strongest teams earlier in the day, Young Eagles showed remarkable resilience, determination and belief to fight their way back and defeat that same team in the final. It was a memorable comeback and the club's very first tournament trophy—a moment that will be remembered for years to come.
The netball competition saw four girls' teams compete in a round-robin tournament before contesting the final. Throughout the day, the players displayed excellent sportsmanship, skill and enthusiasm, highlighting the growing strength of girls' sport in our communities.
More than just a tournament, the day reflected the power of sport to inspire, build confidence and create opportunities for young people. The Pumba Foundation is proud to invest in initiatives that empower youth, strengthen communities and encourage the values of perseverance, respect and teamwork both on and off the field.
